Horii Shoji is rooted in Japan, where our family has spent generations preserving the craft and spirit of kimono. This is the company's Australian branch, bringing that same tradition, and the experience behind it, to Adelaide for the first time.
堀商事は日本に根ざした会社で、家族が代々着物の技術と精神を守り続けてきました。このサイトでご紹介するのは、その伝統と経験をオーストラリア・アデレードに初めてお届けする、堀商事のオーストラリア支店です。
In Japan, Horii Shoji has provided kimono dressing services at some of the country's most distinguished hotels (including Hotel Gajoen Tokyo, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, and Hotel Okura Tokyo), hosting 1,200 customers a year at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo alone. A landmark opened in 1931 as Japan's first integrated wedding and banquet venue, Gajoen Tokyo spans roughly 60,000m² across seven buildings and houses over 2,500 pieces of traditional Japanese art.
堀商事は、目黒雅叙園、マンダリン オリエンタル東京、ホテルオークラ東京など、日本を代表するホテルで着付けサービスを提供してまいりました。目黒雅叙園だけでも年間1,200名のお客様にご利用いただいています。目黒雅叙園は1931年に開業した日本初の総合結婚式場で、約6万平方メートルの敷地に7棟の建物を有し、2,500点を超える日本の伝統美術品を収蔵する由緒ある会場です。

Our Purpose私たちの想い
Kimono has traditionally been reserved for special occasions: a beautiful garment kept at arm's length by ceremony and unfamiliarity. Our purpose is to close that distance: to make kimono something people encounter often, together, not just once in a lifetime. Every dressing experience we host is an invitation to feel it, wear it, and carry a little of that tradition into everyday life.
着物は特別な日にだけ袖を通す衣装として扱われてきました。私たちの目的は、その距離を縮めることです。着物を一生に一度の体験ではなく、日常の中で何度も出会えるものにすることを目指しています。一回一回の着付け体験が、伝統を身にまとい、日々の暮らしに少しずつ取り入れていくきっかけになればと願っています。
